~Blackberry Cobbler~

Nothing is better in the summer time than a big piece of Blackberry Cobbler and a big scoop of Vanilla ice cream! I bought some blackberries from a lady and her son at work the other day and thought they would be perfect to make a blackberry cobbler! I looked up a recipe online and had to give it a try! This is my very first cobbler to make! It is delicious and I am so excited with how it turned out! I am posting a pic of what it looked like and I will also post the recipe that I used.

Easy Blackberry Cobbler

2 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
2 c. blackberries
2 c. boiling water

Cream 1 cup sugar and butter then add flour, baking powder, salt and milk. Mix well and pour into 12 x 8 x 2 inch pan. Pour the blackberries over batter and sprinkle with remaining sugar. Pour the boiling water over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes until golden brown. Serve hot or cold. May be served with cream.

Anniversary Trip

My hubby and I recently celebrated our 6 yr anniversary and I thought we needed to go an a little get-away trip! We decided to go to the town of Weston, Missouri. My older sister told me about this quaint little town so I had to see it for myself! It had alot of neat antiques stores and boutiques!

A cute little sign welcoming us to this cute little town!

One of my favorite antique stores!

A neat little building that was covered in all this ivy! I thought it was really pretty!

A really cool hotel that I wished we could have stayed at...we couldn't though because it was all booked up!

"La Belle Maison" Plaque

My BFF recently sent me a pic of this cute sign that she saw on the Ballard Designs website and when I saw it I just HAD to make one! Not just because it was cute, it also had my last name on it! Here is my inspiration...

I started out with this wooden cabinet door...

Here is what it looked like when I was finished! I love how it turned out! I can't wait to hang it up in my house!

A "Wyse" Sign

I had made this sign a while back and I know I am back tracking on this, but, I wanted to share it with you! I made this sign for my sister and her hubby after they saw another sign I had made for myself and they wanted me to make one for them! It was pretty simple to make! I took some wooden letters I got at a local craft store and painted it black...then I added some scrapbook paper and embellishments. I then got a scrap piece of wood from Home Depot and painted it black and attached the wooden letters to it! They love this sign and have it on their mantel in their living room for everyone to see! Thanks for looking!
