Defying Gravity!

This is one of my FAVORITE songs! I think it is beautiful as well as it makes me feel like I can do anything I put my mind to! When I hear this song I want to sing it at the top of my lungs! Last year I had the opportunity to go see "Wicked" with one of my friends when it came to town and this year it is coming back again. I will definitely go see it for the second time! I am posting the lyrics because they are wonderful and so powerful! I am also posting a pic of me in front of the sign from last year! I had so much fun!

Something has changed within me
Something is not the same
I'm through with playing by the rules
Of someone else's game
Too late for second-guessing
Too late to go back to sleep
It's time to trust my instincts
Close my eyes: and leap!

It's time to try
Defying gravity
I think I'll try
Defying gravity
And you can't pull me down

I'm through accepting limits!
''cause someone says they're so
Some things I cannot change
But till I try, I'll never know!
Too long I've been afraid of
Losing love I guess I've lost
Well, if that's love
It comes at much too high a cost!

I'd sooner buy
Defying gravity
Kiss me goodbye
I'm defying gravity
And you can't pull me down:
Too late for second-guessing
Too late to go back to sleep
It's time to trust my instincts
Close my eyes: and leap!

Happy Early Fall Ya'll!

Since Fall is soon approaching us, and the weather is cooling off, I wanted to post some of my favorite Fall decor! A couple of these items I made and a couple of them I bought...I will have a lot more to show you closer to the fall season, so stay tuned!

This is one of my favorite Halloween/Fall decor! It is a huge burlap Candy Corn that I bought at a craft show in Arkansas a couple years ago! Candy Corn is my FAVORITE Halloween candy of all time! When I saw this cutie I had to have it! I also have some smaller ones that I need to crack out soon!

This pumpkin arrangement I made by myself last year! I just bought a plastic pumpkin and some fall flowers at Michaels...cut a hole in the top of the pumpkin and arranged the flowers inside and that was all there was to it! It was a easy and festive Fall arrangement!

This is a Halloween plaque that my BFF and I made earlier this year. We got a wooden plaque from Hobby Lobby and painted it black...then we glued an image we got off the internet onto the painted wooden plaque and then aged it up with some more paint!

This is a picture frame I made after I saw a version of it on The Happy Homebody blog last year! I take different pieces of scrapbook paper and add a different item to it...I have one that is a pear, one that is a pumpkin, and one that has a Parisian feel to it! It was a cute and easy project that looks snazzy on my table top!

Have a great weekend! I hope everyone is enjoying this great weather!

Neat little find!

Hello ladies! I just had to share this great deal I found at Michaels the other day! I found this little beauty on the clearance aisle...it was originally $19.99 and I got it for $3.99! Can you believe it? I think it is soo darling! I am usually not into bird houses but this one is right up my alley! It goes real well with all my parisian decor! I love finding great deals like these! Have a good evening!

~Thought of the day~

I just read this wonderful saying on a friend's Facebook page and I felt like I had to post it on my blog today: Commit yourself entirely to God and He may set you free to be everything He planned. I feel like God has big plans for me and has opened a few doors for me recently. I want to open my ears and eyes and let him speak to me. I want live my life according to him and not live how I want it to! I feel like he has great plans for me and I can't wait to see what he has in store for me! I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

~Toilet Paper Holder~

Ok so my friend and I went to this local antique mall that is not far from our houses and I come across this BEAUTY! It was only $8.00 too! I really didn't like the look of it so OF COURSE I had to revamp it! This is what it looked like before:

After a coat of Valspar Coconut Milk, gold paint, scrapbook paper, a wooden decal here is what it looks like! I had to age it up (of course) but for $10 or less I get this fun chic toilet paper holder! Just the place to store my extra rolls of toilet paper! LOL Hope everyone has a great weekend!

~Little Wooden Drawer~

Happy Sunday! Hope everyone had a great weekend! I wanted to show everyone my cheap little project that I came across while shopping in Hobby Lobby in the other day!

I found this little wooden drawer for $2.00 on the clearance aisle at Hobby Lobby! When I saw it I thought BINGO! I could make a little organizer to put some of my scrapbooking supplies in! I really didn't see anything I wanted to use for the legs so I ran to Michael's and found some little wooden pieces to use for the legs and I found some cute scrolled wooden decor to put on the sides.

~Here is the front on my organizer~

~Here is the finished product! I love how it turned out! I am going to keep all of my wooden stamps in it to keep everything tidy in my scrapbook room!~

Paula Deen's Kitchen

I am totally in love with Paula Deen's kitchen! I would wonder if she would let me come over and play in it? I love the white cabinets and I love the bricks! How fun would it be to cook in there? She might have to be my new best friend so I could visit her and her beautiful house!

~Paper Flowers~

Happy Monday ladies! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I just wanted to post some paper flowers that I made today! I thought they were very festive and so easy to make! They make an easy and cute way to decorate a cake stand or whatever you want to decorate. I like scrapbooking and these are very popular to make on the scrapbooking websites so I definitely had to make some of my own!

Thanks for looking! Have a great day!
