~PW's Blackberry Cobbler~

So...in order to celebrate Memorial Day {yesterday} the hubby and I headed over to our friend's house for the evening! I didn't want to show up without something in hand, and I already had the ingredients, so I made the The Pioneer Woman's Blackberry Cobbler! It was very easy to make and used very few ingredients!

I also picked up a 1/2 gallon of Blue Bell's Homemade Vanilla ice cream to eat with it! *I would recommend eating this cobbler when it is nice and warm with a BIG scoop of vanilla ice cream on top!*

It was a wonderful way to end a delicious Memorial Day meal!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

~Guest book sign~

Hello friends! I recently came across this pic {of a sign} I made for my sister's wedding a couple years ago and I felt like I needed to share it with you! Her wedding colors were hot pink and black! What fun colors right? The flowers she used were cherry blossoms and she tried to incorporate them in all of her decor. She asked me to make a sign to put on the guest book table and here is how it turned out!

It was really cheap and easy to make and it looked adorable when it was finished! She was so happy with it! I just used a piece of pink scrapbook paper, a piece of black textured paper {that I cut into a small square shape and rounded the corners with a scrapbook corner rounder}. I drew on the branches with a black marker, and then placed scrapbook flowers on the branches. I cut out the word "Guests" with my Cricut and glued it on the black textured paper.

That was it! It was simple and easy to make! Sometimes I feel like crafts don't have to be hard and complicated to make...sometimes crafts that are easy and simple are best, don't you think? :)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

~A Day in the Life of a Wedding Planner~

My friend Dala and I had the opportunity to be "wedding planners" this weekend for another friend of ours (Jaccie) who had a very small wedding budget. The bride didn't have a lot of decor ideas so my friend Dala and I got together and came up with some ideas! I borrowed some candlelabras from my parents church and my friend Dala had some white columns that we used in the sanctuary. Dala also got to play "photographer" and took the wedding pics with her new camera! I got to tell the wedding party when to walk down the aisle! :) Here are a few pictures that I took of some of the decorations we used! These are all things that we borrowed or already had...Sorry the pictures aren't very good!

~A little wicker basket that I jazzed up for the wedding programs~

~One of the candlelabras that I borrowed from my parent's church~

~A flower arrangement that I put together for the wall behind the cake table~

~My friend Dala borrowed several lanterns that we put on the reception tables~

~A pic of all 3 candlelabra's that we used in the sanctuary~

It was a beautiful wedding and it all came together smoothly! The bride and groom were VERY happy and had a great time! I am so glad I was able to be a part of it!

Congratulations Jaccie and Collin!
