{Pinterest Project}-Candy Cane Primitives

Ok, so my latest addiction is probably like everyone else's...Pinterest! I have pinned many project ideas on my boards and I am slowly being able to work on them! One of my favorite ideas is from Lipstick and Laundry. She made ADORABLE primitive Candy Canes and I just HAD to make my version of them! She has a wonderful tutorial on how to make them! She used small plastic candy canes for this project and I ended up finding some big plastic candy canes at Garden Ridge! I went to JoAnn Fabrics and found some adorable red & white ticking material and used it to wrap my candy canes!

Here is what they looked like before:

I just LOVE how they turned out! They are so festive with my Candy Cane/Gingerbread kitchen theme! :)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful & warm weekend!

Hugs,
Ruthie

Hooo Are You? My Answers!!

NightOwlCrafting

1. Is all your Christmas shopping done? Yes! But I still need to wrap everything!

2. Do you decorate for Christmas and if so when? Yes, I am slowly getting my decorations out this year...I already have my tree up but I just put it up this last weekend. I still need to get my decor out in my kitchen!

3. Do you bake during the Holiday season? Not usually...I did, however, go to my friend's house the weekend before Thanksgiving, and we made a bunch of fudge! I made a WONDERFUL White Chocolate Peppermint Fudge! It was delish! :)

4. What are your favorite smells of this time of year? I love Vanilla, Apple Cinnamon, candles that smell like baked goods! YUMMY!

5. What are your favorite things to do during the Holiday Season? I love watching tons of Christmas movies, drinking hot chocolate, going to parties, looking at Christmas lights...there is a church that is not far from where I live and they always (every year) have a wonderful Christmas display all over their campus. I love to drive through it or get out and walk through it! It is so much fun!

~Musical Garland~

Hello lovelies! I want to show you some pics of a sheet music garland that I started working on last year. I just recently finished it up and I wanted you to see it! It was so easy to make and I think it really looks snazzy on my tree! I purchased an old hymnal from a local antique store and I used the pages to make my garland.

~This was before I put the ornaments on it~

~Ta-da! I think it looks fabulous! I just love how it turned out!~

Now I just need to get all my Christmas presents wrapped and put under it! There is nothing better than watching Christmas movies in the dark with just the glow of a well lit Christmas tree! It makes me smile! :)

I hope everyone has a good week! Stay warm!

Love,
Ruthie
