~EXTRA, EXTRA, READ ALL ABOUT IT! ~

OK, so a couple months ago I wrote a blog post about being an extra in the up and coming movie called "Home Run"! Here is the story line:
"A pro baseball player with an alcohol problem is forced to return to his hometown to face the pain he tried to ignore, the girl he wanted to forget, and the son he never knew".
Some of the movie was filmed in Okmulgee {a town here in Oklahoma} and an article was recently written about the movie! Well, I made the front page! Here is a pic of the newspaper article!

I am the one in the blue scrubs (I played a nurse in the background of the hospital scenes!) Hopefully they don't cut me out! LOL It was a really great experience because I got to meet Scott Elrod (who plays Cory Brand) and Vivica Fox (who plays his agent)! They are both really nice people and it was really cool to get to hang out while filming! It was a really fun experience for me and it was something I had on my "Bucket List" (to be an extra in a movie!) The movie is currently in post-production and will be in theaters baseball season of this year (2012)!! I can't wait!

Here is a link to the website: Home Run

They will be coming out with the trailers for it as soon as they get the editing done! :) {Which they are currently doing!}

I will keep you posted as soon as things start to happen! Thanks for stopping by! Have a WONDERFUL weekend!

LOVE,

{Pinterest Project}-Felt Heart Shaped Wreath

Hello friends! I wanted to show you my latest Pinterest project! I just LOVE that place, don't you? I get such good ideas there! :) Anyhoo, I found this ADORABLE felt heart shaped wreath from a blog called eighteen25 and I JUST HAD to make one! {Of course, I had to put my spin on it. I ended up pinning my felt circles in different directions to give it a little bit different look.} I just love how it turned out!

I can't wait to hang it up with the rest of my Valentine's Day decor! To tell you the truth, I really wasn't going to decorate for V-day but I have found several fun projects that I want to make so...I guess I am going all out! I found some really fun looking heart shaped Whoopie pies that I think I will make for the hubby and I for V-day...I hope they turn out! :)

Well, thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Talk to you soon!
-Ruthie
