~Home Run the movie Review~

Yay folks! So I made the cut...I am in the movie "Home Run" but I am a bit blurry! I am the nurse in the background in the hospital scenes (2 different scenes) when Cory is visiting his brother in his hospital room. I also saw myself in a baseball scene as well! I am so glad to have been a part of it and so proud to say that it was filmed in Oklahoma! It is nice to see a faith-based film in the theaters for once. I really love the opening of the movie, it really shows how pretty Okmulgee is, and it features it really well. I love the soundtrack to the movie too! There is a lot of great songs in it. I will definitely have to get the soundtrack of it!

~Here is a pic of us on the set: Scott Elrod (Cory Brand), Me (blue scrubs), an extra, Vivica Fox (Cory's agent Helene), & another extra~

If you want to see a film about finding God & redemption (and baseball!) go see it! It is worth it! It had me crying and laughing all at the same time. I am so excited to see it all together because I just saw bits & pieces when I was there for the filming. I am pleased with how it turned out!

Here is a link to the "Home Run" website...it will give you all the info on it: Home Run

I have heard from several of my friends that some of the theaters have been SOLD OUT! Praise the Lord! That is awesome! I hope a lot of people go see it! :)

Well, thanks for stopping by! Have a blessed week!

~Opening weekend of "Home Run" the movie~

I just want to remind everyone that the movie "Home Run" starring Scott Elrod & Vivica Fox will be in theaters this weekend starting Friday, April 19th! It is about finding God & redemption!

Here is the storyline:

"Freedom is Possible-

"Baseball all-star Cory Brand knows what it takes to win in the big leagues. But off the field, with memories of his past haunting him, his life is spiraling out of control.

Hoping to save her client's career and reputation after a DUI and a team suspension, Cory's agent sends him back to the small town where he grew up. Forced to coach the local youth baseball team and spend eight weeks in the only recovery program in town, Cory can't wait to return to his old life as quickly as possible.

As his young players help him experience the joy of the game, Cory discovers his need to find freedom from his past and hope for his future … and win back the love he left behind. With this unexpected second chance, Cory finds himself on a powerful journey of transformation and redemption.

Based on thousands of true stories, HOME RUN is a powerful reminder that with God, it's never too late … freedom is possible."

I was lucky to be an extra in this movie (not sure if I made the final cut or not) but I got to go hang out a couple days while it was being filmed because most of the movie was filmed in Oklahoma (not far from where I live)! I got to be a nurse (extra) in the background at the hospital and then a baseball fan in the stands at one of the baseball games that Cory is playing in (Grizzles).

~I am in the gray shirt in this pic :)~

Here is a pic of me (I am in the blue scrubs) Scott Elrod, an extra, Vivica Fox, & another extra. We took this pic after an evening meal while filming at the Okmulgee Hospital in Okmulgee, Oklahoma!

I can't wait to see it this weekend! Even if I don't end up being in it, at least I have the memories :) It was a lot of fun! I hope everyone goes to see it! I know it will be good!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a GREAT weekend! GO SEE THIS MOVIE! :)
